Would you mind introducing the band a bit? Where are you from, what are its members and what part do they play in the Akollonizer? Do they have some additional side projects?

Hi Oneyoudontknow!! First at all, thanks for your interest in the band.
Well, I’m from Andorra but I’m living in Barcelona. The first time I thought about starting the band was in 2003 but it didn't become a reality until 2004 when Karkassa (O.D.I., Ze Pekeño, Entropia) and I started to work on some ideas about how we wanted them to be reflected in our proposal.
It was a long time until the first work was released because of several problems unrelated to the band
Nowadays, Karkassa is not a member of the band. The updated line up is:

Wilhkiem - Double bass & guitars (Shemhamphorash, Foscor)
Iker – Guitars, keyboards & noises (Soizu, FFTPlayers, ex-Sorcun, ex-Atomoog)
JNTrio – Drums (The Kokongs, JNTrio, One Million Skulls)
Panta Rei – Voice & Screams (One Million Skulls)

What does the band name refer to? Is it an artificial term or is it based on a word from a certain language?

It’s an artificial term created from the catalan slang word “Acollonir” which means “to make people fear” or “to scare”. It’s a kind of a joke about all the bands which finish their names with –zer like Brutalizer, Sodomizer, etc, especially non-english bands with non-english names like Petardizer, etc

When I informed correctly, then you have only released one album so far, or? How did this release cam to happen and who is the other band O.D.I.?

Yes, it’s Akollonizer’s only release until now. In the begining, the idea was to release a tape with only Akollonizer.
After a few rehearsals, Karkassa, who plays in O.D.I., told me that he just finished a new work with his band and he’d like to edit it on a split with my band.
I really like his work with O.D.I. and, for me, it was a great pleasure to see my first release with his work in a same edition.

O.D.I. is one of Karkassa’s side projects, as I said in the first question. He is a really good friend of mine and a multi disciplinar artist. He writes poetry and organises poet’s meetings, he is involved in paintings and sculpture and, of course, is extremely focused on music and sound research.
The misticism of his music comes from his interest in ancient religions and brotherhoods.

This split album with O.D.I. is quite peculiar in its style because your tracks are based on the works of the Prague writer/novelist Franz Kafka. Why him? He is rarely picked in the extreme realms of the music. Do you enjoy his writing or what would be the background for your reasons?

The choice comes from a metamorphosis’ reading I did when I was in school (I was 12), somebody becoming cockroach was something incredible for me but I did not understand anything because of the ineptitude of the teacher who showed us the text as a horror story. The point is that over time I recovered the text after reading a biography of Kafka and Wham! my eyes were opened.
Then, I could see, from my point of view, the message of the text and I could see my personal experiences in the story.
My background definitely influenced the perception of the message.

And yes, I enjoyed his writing both for its sense of humor as for his description of feelings and the dark atmosphere that surrounds the entire work. I think there are a lot of stuff in his art which can be brought to the music, as for the concept or message to his way of writing. (Sadly, I don’t understand german which doesn’t allow me to enjoy and understand 100% all the aspects of his writing. Translations always miss part of the authors style)

To hear an interpretation of ‘Die Verwandlung’ (The Metamorphosis) is not such a surprise actually, because it would be one of his few completed works. How do you feel about what the setting, the story and the meaning of it?

I identified myself with Gregor and the story.
I see Gregor as the guy who wants to find his own path in life but he can’t because of the society (represented by his father, tenants, boss) rooted in old and conservative values.
But this isn’t the problem because he wants to live, work and love his family as usual but they don’t accept the new path chosen by Gregor.
Regarding how I feel about the story, I sympathize with Gregor, actually I do with everybody who fights for his own goals, ideas and life style.
I do it if these people respect the choices of others.
Gregor doesn’t get this from his family, boss and tenants (society)

Do you think that this text is still relevant today? Does today’s society create situations that are or might be similar to the one lain out in the text?

Absolutely!! I think the society has been built like the father who wants, or thinks, that his work and statement is the correct way of living, beliefs and everything involved in it.
If some individual or group is making its own path he is called a madman, asocial or anything else to erase you or, simply, not leave you develop as an individual.
Look, we are in a great crisis provoqued by the same guys who are getting money from goverments to fix all this mess. Would you trust somebody who steals and corrupts??

I think that while we live in a conservative society, the text of Kafka will be fully in force

In terms of the lyrics you only seem to have taken rather fragments of the whole story. What passages did you choose and for what reasons? Did you try to put an emphasis on Gregor and was your attempt to provide the listener with some sort of a summarization of the entire text?

Basically, I tried to focus on Gregor; what he feels fighting for his new condition, trying to explain to his family that everything is normal, that he’s still their son despite his new look and praying for respect.

As I said above, I identified with personal experiences in the text, that was what inspired me. The idea was to show how I felt through Gregor’s character and the price sometimes we have to pay in order to achieve our goals.
I think that Kafka’s work, in general, can be understood, depending of the reader.
If you are a conservative guy, you will understand the father who tries to hide his own son because he's a rebel who doesn’t want to follow the father’s way of life, embarrassing him.
But, if you are a guy who wants to make your own path despite the tradition or your social condition, you are definitely going to identify yourself with Gregor who claims respect for his choice.

In what language were the lyrics written?

In catalan, it’s my first language.
My english is not good enough to write a creation and I don’t feel comfortable singing in spanish.

Yet this all is merely the conceptual background of the music, the actual execution is really intense. Why did you choose such an extreme approach? The music is a violent combination of grind, noise, sludge and what not.

We think the main message of the text is about rupture of Gregor with his daily routine, symbolized with his metamorphosis. This means different feelings which we tried to capture not only with lyrics but also with sound.
We must remember Kafka shows us that for Gregor this change is not the most important (he only thinks about his work, family and his love for them and how to help them without giving more importance to his transformation, as if it were something natural)
But this point of view is not shared by his surrounding and that’s the fact that opens the door to all these extreme feelings,ie, hope, frustration, love, anguish, despair, ... They perfectly fit with the intensity of the music.

Besides, I feel confortable performing extreme and experimental music

To me it sounded like you wanted to express the impossibility of Gregor to express himself in a meaningful way to his parents/sister, while at the same time reaching the point of hysteria and being therefore unable to clearly articulate himself in terms of his own thoughts; the panic and the confusion about the situation. Your response?

Absolutely agree with you.
Don’t you think that this is what is happening with us in front of a society, monoteism or boss with a close mind??
Specially when you try to do what you want or express your own point of view out of the majority??
I think Gregor’s situation is a metaphor of this, anihilation of your individuality, your free thinking and your feelings in front of this.

In terms of the vocals, there is some similarity with the Spanish band Entropia, isn’t it? At least when listening to their Takte Mòrbid output.

I think this was inevitable due to the presence of Karkassa (bassist and singer of Entropia) in the band.
Although he only put his voice in one track (Traïdoria), the piggy one.
The rest of voices are mine. I have spent a lot of time with Entropia as a manager, in concerts and participating with them in their live shows which must influence Akollonizer’s voices.

Do you plan to play live or have you already done so? How have the responses been?

Until now we only played in one concert, last November in ANTI-RATZINGER FESTIVAL in Barcelona.
It was a festival organised as a protest against the Pope’s visit in town financed with public money (the Pope’s visit!!! Not the concert)
The plan is to rehearse the new songs, record them and, after summer, start making the first concerts.
We want to mix music with performance, actually, in Anti Ratzinger concert, we mixed music with Butoh and we'd like to work on it in order to create a solid proposal.
The responses were really good, we were the only band which didn’t play black or death, I mean we were the “rara avis” in the festival and the audience were more receptive to our show.
The feedback was really good and people enjoyed and liked our proposal.
We’ll see what happens in a concert only with us, hehehehehe!!!!!

I have a rather vague question:
Kafka was someone, whose writings were influenced by Søren Kierkegaard for instance; a Christian writer, theologian and philosopher. You can further see a transcendental aspect in a lot of Kafka’s works. Yet, when someone visits your homepage you see an inverted pentagram. How are you able to bridge this gap? Is it an artificial one?

It’s a mixture of diferent symbols which represent the band’s philosophy just like the nickname chosen by myself, Panta rei.
This is a concept used by Heraclitus of Ephesus to explain his ideas or philosophy.
This concept means "Everything Flows"and one of his quotations was, "Everything flows, nothing remains" or if you prefer "We never bathe twice in the same river”, that means that we are in constant evolution which is necessary to improve as person and individual and get the knowledge in order to live without restraints and lead by ourself.
Heraclitus was a philosopher who lived in the sixth century BC who rooted his thinking on this constant evolution of all things and beings, and also in the struggle of opposites "War is the father of all things " , A struggle that tends to get the balance between opposites as would be the case, for example, the forces that keep guitar’s strings tense.
All this flow of events is symbolized by the fire taken by him as a key element in the development of his philosophy. For him, it is the beginning of the universe (arche) and represents the dualism as base of everything (Fire exists only consuming and destroying) while constantly changing form (evolution and creation)
All this chaos creates harmony through the Logos (knowledge) found in all things and, obviously, in human being.
According to Heraclitus the person has to find the logos within and only then you recognize yourself as an individual and you will be able to evolve.

The pentagram is embraced by an ouroboros which is one of the oldest known symbols and it has been adopted by many cultures. The snake is a basic symbol for anarkosatanism (our path of thinking) and it represents the path of knowledge (light) to find your inner self and be free of social and religious ties that will not let you grow as individual. But this knowledge searching is eternal, you must work on it all your life, that’s represented by ouroboros.
To get this knowledge or light it's necessary to break with all, to leave taboos let go of, to break with the past in order to initiateself-improvement. This is symbolized by the snake’s shedding of the skin, this is like a rebirth after your social being’s death .
The two snakes in the interior of the pentagram around a caduceus represent the flow of the universe, its movement and evolution, which are indispensable for the regeneration of the being.
The pentagram represents the universe in its four elements (upper points) drives by the individual or the self (lower end).
All this amounts are saying that an individual, by itself, can be as a person without any protection, either divine or earthly. That means, the path chosen by the person or individual is not transferable, you and only you are responsable of your destiny based on your beliefs and goals.

Have you read something else of Kafka? Like ‘The Castle’, ‘The Trial’ or ‘America’? In case this is true, what effect did these have had on you?

Regarding the effect on me it was my reafirmation on my freedom searching and the confirmation that nothing changes with time. We live in a fake freedom controlled by religion, politics and social power.
I think that’s the main message from Kafka’s work, this and hapiness searching

Would you mind explaining your logo a bit? How does one have to understand it?

Akollonizer’s logo was created by Karkassa. He showed it to me during the first rehearsal and I tought it was good.
about why it looks like this, it is simply the result of the creation or imagination of him.

Are you able to rehearse on a constant basis and how does the song-writing take place?

We have had several problems for keeping a line up which hasen’t allowed to rehearse properly, until now.
The new songs have been composed between Iker (guitar and noises) and me, then, these are worked and finished in the rehearsal by the whole band
About the song-writing, I basically, do it. First at all, I propose the concept of the new work and write some ideas, then we agree on how we want the music to express the lyrical concept.
Or some of the the guys bring some ideas for a song and I write the lyrics depending on the feelings that the song transmits to me

What bands and albums would you cite as influences when it comes to your art?

I have been listening to a lot of differents styles of music for years. It’s impossible to avoid being influencedby them.
In “La Transformació” the main design influence is by Corrupted.
About the music, I don’t know. I think the work is conceptual because it comes from the seventies bands that made long and conceptual issues.
But I couldn't give you specific names

Do you have plans for a new release already? Is there a chance to see another novel or text interpreted by you?

We must record after summer the new songs, it’s another conceptual issue focused on monoteisms and how it has evolved since its begining, beeing a pure idea, to the top of its power, dominating and beeing corrupted by this power.

I’d like to work on another Kafka’s novel, in particular In der Strafkolonie “ In the Penal Colony”,
I think it’s an interesting parallelism with the behavior of west democracies in front of dictatorships which are tolerated because of the real politics but when they fell or are in decadence, these “west democracies” forget or leave these “friends”.
Doesn’t it ring a bell to you?? Gadaffi, Mubarak, Pinochet, etc

Saludos Panta Rei y bienvenido a nuestras páginas. ¿Qué tal estás y qué disco te dispones a escuchar durante el interrogatorio?
Hola Ricard!!!
Pues me encuentro bien dentro de las actuales circunstancias laborales y políticas.
Pera la entrevista he elegido el último trabajo de Zé Pekeño “Buh!”, uno de los proyectos del incansable i superproductivo Karkassa (Entropía, O.D.I.) y he dejado en reserva el trabajo “Hatred for mankind” de los balck doomers Dragged into sunlight, un trabajo que me ha pillado como hacía tiempo no me pillaba un grupo, oscuro repleto de mala leche combinando slow tempos con partes rapidísmas, a parte de ser unos enfermos a nivel de concepto.

¿Cómo van las cosas en el seno de la banda actualmente? Tras un breve respiro según me comentaste parece AKOLLONIZER resurge y brindo por ello…
Pues parece que vuelve a arrancar poco a poco después de un parón de casi dos años en los que me he centrado en promocionar el trabajo compartido con O.D.I. y publicado a través de Artilleria Pesada.
La banda actualmente está trabajando en nuevo material, todo a un ritmo más lento de lo que me gustaría pero las circunstancias personales de cada uno de los miembros de esta no nos permite ir más rápido, y la verdad, tampoco tenemos mucha prisa. Más vale lento pero seguro.
Actualmente estamos bajo el paraguas de Akollonizer Iker Ormazabal de Soizu con guitarra y aparatos diversos, Wilhkiem de Shemhamphorash / Foscor a las guitarras y bajo, un sevidor a los gritos y a la bateria continua Uretra con la posibilidad de incorporar un segundo batería!!! Sin cortarnos, tú, a lo Genesis o Outlaw en su “Bring it back alive”.

Cuéntanos a raíz de qué surge AKOLLONIZER como banda, los integrantes que han pasado por ella y principios ideológicos tras la misma.
Todo surgió en una noche del anarkosatanismus tour 2003 que Entropia realizó por Francia, Alemania y Flandes. En la noche anterior al primer concierto en tierras flamencas, concretamente en Mechelen, estábamos cenando en las escaleras de la iglesia de esta pequeña ciudad cuando empezamos hablar de como seria mi banda, en caso de tenerla. Allí le puse el nombre y me explayé explicando como sonaría y que ideología seguiría (todo esto haciendo una performance en lo alto de las escaleras de dicha iglesia). Karkassa pilló la idea al vuelo y cuando volvímos de la gira me preguntó si lo que expliqué iba en serio y que le gustaría participar en el nacimiento del engendro akollonítico, así de sencillo fue.

La primera formación fué la que grabó el Cd y no es otra que los que empezamos la historia:
Karkassa a las guitarras, armónicas, sintetizador y ruidos varios
Panta Rei gritos y letras.

Después de esto entraron Wilhkiem al bajo y Uretra a la batería. En los ensayos que hicímos por entonces nos ayudaron Nechrist (Foscor, Shemhamphorash) a la batería y Salva (Demonic War, Carajillo de Gasolina) a la guitarra. Estos últimos muy esporádicamente.

Finalmente Karkassa dejó la banda por motivos de agenda hasta llegar a la formación actual.

Los principios ideológicos de la banda son simples: “Carpe Diem”.
Haz lo que debas hacer y como más te guste y ante todo la defensa de la libertad individual, tanto a nivel creativo/artístico como en la vida diaria.
Una de las peores cosas que tenemos hoy día es la degradación de lo que llamamos nuestro modelo social. Parecemos un enorme rebaño controlado por unos pocos pastores y ayudados por perros sedientos de poder y con ganas de llegar donde están sus amos. Todo esto aderezado por los monoteismos absolutistas de siempre y con los nuevos más mediáticos (estrellitas deportivas, sociales y de papel couchè). Pienso que es importante que cada individuo se cultive, tanto social como culturalmente para tener las armas suficientes para escojer su camino por si mismo sin necesidad de recurrir a dioses o personajes supuestamente superiores al individuo.

Claro, que yo no puedo obligar a nadie, tampoco, a escoger una cosa u otra, y procuro no hacerlo. Pero también pido reciprocidad, libertad para expresar mis ideas y vivir en consonancia a ellas cosa que, a veces, es muy dificil tal como estan montadas ls cosas.

La verdad es que la espera valió la pena y ‘La transformació’ me dejó completamente flipado más que nada por lo bizarro e imaginativo que resulta. ¿Qué críticas está cosechando y qué tal se mueve?
Bueno, hay de todo. La mayoria se reparten en críticas positivas (teniendo en cuenta que es lo primero que editamos y lo bizarro que es, ya es mucho) y en, por decirlo de alguna manera, “¿Que coño es esto?”. Es dificil hacer entrar a la gente cosas que no se ciñen a una serie de estructuras ya asimilidas por la mayoria, que, entiendeme, tampoco es nuestro objetivo.
En cuanto a lo de moverse, pues va lento, pero va a parar a manos de la gente adecuada, gente que ve más allá de la mera tralla que destila el álbum, en otras palabras, gente que se mete para entender el mensaje y la intención, que a fin de cuentas, es lo que más nos interesa.

La parte de O.D.I. no desmerece para nada el Split. ¿Qué relación existe entre ambos proyectos y qué te parece su parte? ¿Retocaríais algo del resultado final?
Mira, yo soy del tipo de persona que no me arrepiento de nada de lo hecho, ya sea bueno o malo, de todo se sacan partes positivas e intento aplicarlo a mi día a día. ¿Qué quiero decir con esto? Pues que no tocaría nada de lo que hay en el trabajo, tanto a nivel de concepto, musical o de diseño. Puede que haya cosas que podian haberse hecho de otra manera pero cuando se hizo, se hizo y quedo así porque el momento, las sensaciones, sentimientos o dile como quieras nos hicieron crearlo de esta manera y, la verdad, estoy orgulloso y satisfecho de como ha quedado.

La parte de O.D.I. es un gran trabajo lleno de sentimiento y misticísmo Es una obra hecha desde lo más hondo y en un escenario, Montserrat, inspirador a más no poder. Para mí, junto al Foedus, de lo mejor que ha parido la hipercativa mente de Karkassa. También es un paso adelante en todo lo hecho por O.D.I. hasta ese momento ya que se afianza en el ritual drone que asomó en su anterior obra, “Siddartha experience”, y la incorporación de Nayram con su voz y textos.
Al loro con sus próximos trabajos Necronimicón I y II!!!!!
El punto en común más evidente entre las dos bandas es la presencia de Karkassa en ellas (aunque ahora ya no forma parte de Akollonizer) y una ideología común alrededor del “mensaje” con el que intentamos un enriquecimiento intelectual, moral e individual que nos permita escoger el mejor camino o opción para nuestra liberación de la colectividad apollardante de la que, consciente o inconscientemente , somos prisioneros.

¿Por qué la elección de La metamorfosis de Kafka como hilo argumental del trabajo? ¿Habrá continuación basada en otro relato del autor checo? Aparte de Kafka, ¿qué otros autores te han inspirado o han hecho mella en ti?
La elección viene de una lectura que hicimos cuando iba a la escuela, me pilló lo de transformarse en escarabajo aunque no entendí el porque de todo el texto en su momento por la ineptitud del profesor que nos lo presentó como un cuento de terror. La cuestión es que con el tiempo recuperé el texto después de leer una biografía de Kafka y ¡¡¡zas!!! Se me abrieron los ojos.
Kafka nació en el seno de una familia bien por lo que tenía el futuro medianamente asegurado, pero optó con romper con ello y en un principio con la religión familiar (judaísmo) aunque la retomara más adelante. En el texto se puede identificar a él como Gregor Sampsa, al resto de su familia con los otros personajes (padre, madre y hermana) y la situación descrita es un paralelísmo con su ruptura, digamos, social y familiar.
Aparte que también me siento identificado al tener una “experiencia” similar en mi vida personal.
Otra razón es que Kafka tiene todos los puntos de ser un anarkosatánico de base, jejejeje!!!!

Si, me gustaría centrarme en otro cuento de Kafka editado por primera vez en 1914 llamado “La colonia penitenciaria” donde, desde mi punto de vista, hay un paralelísmo con regímenes absolutistas imponiendo su ley, y sus consecuentes castígos, mientras las sociedades “civilizadas” miran a otro lado o levantan timidamente la voz, esperando su fin por agotamiento o caducidad del propio régimen.

En cuanto a lecturas últimamente me he centrado en libros de divulgación histórica, historia clásica en particular (antiguos imperios: Roma, Persia, Hititas, Egipto, etc) y universal en general (sobretodo europea, basicamente por dos razones, es donde vivo y por falta de tiempo, no puedo abarcar más).
También leo novela histórica, filosofía (sobre todo clásica), fantasia, terror,...

Por citarte algunos nombres Marco Aurelio, Paul Doherty, Platón, Kafka, Albert Salvadò, Edgar Allan Poe, Lovecraft, Herodiano, Kate Mosse, Marion Zimmer, Roald Dahl, Tom Baker, Heraclito, etc

Más que autores, los que han hecho mella en mi han sido personajes históricos y ciertas colectividades. No sabría decirte cual más pero algunos nombres son: Marco Aurelio (Emperador Romano) para mi el ejemplo de lo que ha de ser un gobernante y lider, Roger de Flor (la superación), Jaume I (Rey de la corona de Aragón), Henry VIII (por como se enfrento a la iglesia y cuando lo hizo), Hildegard Von Bigen aka La sibila del Rhin (compositora, estadista, científica, filosofa,... una mujer del siglo XI que supo desarrollarse intelectualmente en una época en que otras morían quemadas por mucho menos), Zenobia, Boudica, Hatshepsut, Leonardo Da Vinci, Leonor de Aquitania, Anabaptistas, Cátaros, Almogavars y termino ya que te llenaria página y media de nombres, jejejeje!!!!

En relación con la anterior pregunta, la elección de tu sobrenombre no parece algo casual… ¿qué conexión puedes establecer entre el pensamiento de Heráclito y tu proyecto?
Panta Rei es un concepto que utilizó Heráclito de Efeso para basar su pensamiento o filosofía.
Este concepto significa “Todo fluye” y una de sus frases fue, “Todo fluye, nada permanece” o si lo prefieres “Nunca nos bañamos dos veces en un mismo río”, esto viene a decir que estamos en constante evolución la cual es necesaria para mejorarnos como personas o individuos y obtener el conocimiento para poder vivir sin ataduras y según rija nuestro yo.
Heráclito fue un filósofo que vivió en el siglo VI antes de Cristo el cual desarrollo todo su pensamiento basándolo en esta evolución constante de todas las cosas y seres; y también en la lucha de los opuestos “La guerra es el padre de todas las cosas” , una lucha que tiende a conseguir el equilibrio entre polos opuestos como seria el caso, por ejemplo, de las fuerzas que mantienen tensas las cuerdas de una guitarra.
Todo este fluir de acontecimientos, los simboliza con el fuego adoptando su figura como elemento básico para el desarrollo de su filosofía, para él, es el origen del universo (arje) y representa este dualismo mentado anteriormente (el fuego existe solo consumiendo y destruyendo) y a la vez cambia constantemente de forma (evolución)
Todo este caos genera armonía gracias al Logos (conocimiento) que se encuentra en todas las cosas y, obviamente, en el hombre.
Según Heraclito la persona ha de encontrar este logos en su interior y solo entonces te reconocerás como individuo y podrás evolucionar.
Ahí es donde coincide la filosofía del grupo con el filósofo.
Otra razón es que no aguantaba las multitudes, se apartaba de ellas, llegando incluso, al final de su vida, a convertirse en un anacoreta. Se le conoce como el oscuro y pienso que fue un verdadero proto anarkosatanista.

Sé que eres un auténtico melómano y no te importa escuchar tanto DEEP PURPLE como Boney M, eh? Jajajaj… ¿cuáles son tus principales influencias tanto dentro como fuera del metal?
El trabajo de “La transformació” se puede decir que tiene un toque “corruptoso” tanto en la estética como en algunas partes de lo musical (“Rebuig” puede que sea el ejemplo más claro) todo y lo ecléctico que es.
Algo ha de haber más, ya que, como tu bien dices, escucho un montón de música.
Mi grupo predilecto es Deep Purple y mi música el hard rock de los 70's. Pero cuando se lleva más de treinta años escuchando música tus miras se amplían y te vas haciendo con más estilos, ya sea por conocer a la gente adecuada para ello o por la simple curiosidad de mirar más allá de lo que has escuchado siempre. Es como el viajar, quien tiene ganas de conocer nuevos mundos se le queda pequeña su ciudad o país y sale por ahí a ver que hay.
Ahora te escucho de casi todo: Heavy, death, black, grind, sludge, doom, blues, jazz, clásica, noise, experimental, funk (especialmente de los 70's), acid rock, rock 'n' roll, stoner, folk, afrobeat, tribal, ...

En el blog aparece algo así como el símbolo del uróboros con un pentagrama dentro acompañado de un texto titulado “Profanakesi”, ¿qué viene a significar esa simbología?
Ouroboros es uno de los símbolos más antiguos que se conocen y ha sido adoptado por cantidad de culturas. La serpiente es un símbolo básico para el anarkosatanismo, representa el camino del conocimiento (luz) para poder encontrar tu yo interior y liberarte de las ataduras sociales y religiosas que no te dejan desarrollarte como individuo, algunos textos antiguos mentan a una serpiente de luz que residía en los cielos. Para llegar a este conocimiento o luz es necesario romper con todo, desprenderte de tabues, romper con el pasado para iniciar de una forma impoluta el camino a la superación individual. Esto se ve simbolizado con la muda de la piel en la serpiente que viene a ser como un renacimiento después de la muerte de tu ser social.
Las dos serpientes en el interior del pentagrama rodeando un caduceo representan el fluir del universo, su moviemiento y evolución, elementos, estos, imprescindibles para la regeneración del ser.
El pentagrama representa el universo en sus cuatro elementos (puntas superiores) dirgidos por el individuo o ser (punta inferior).
Todo esto, viene a decir, que un individuo, por si solo, puede realizarse como persona sin necesidad de ninguna tutela, ya sea divina o terrenal. O dicho de otra manera, el camino escojido por la persona o individuo es personal e intransferible, tú, y solo tú, riges tu destino según tus creencias y objetivos.

El texto PROFANESKI esta extraido de LA LIBRO NIGRA (La biblia Frati) donde nos habla de nuestra muerte iniciática, es decir, de conseguir el vacío interior (sería el equivalente al Vajda en el yoga), solo así podremos construir nuestro propio camino.
Este es el mensaje principal del texto, pero si te quieres meter más e iniciar la preparación para integrarte como Frato, a parte de necesitar una condiciones individuales concretas, el texto te explica una serie de ritos iniciáticos que debes seguir para dar los primeros pasos dentro de los Frati.

Algo inaudito en los tiempos que corren es esa “despersonalización” del grupo. No aparecen fotos ni nombres en ningún sitio y tú mismo me dijiste que eres bastante reacio a ellas, algo así como un cruce entre BLUT AUS NORD y CORRUPTED. ¿No crees que hay demasiadas bandas más centradas en sacarse fotitos que en tragar horas de local?
Pienso que lo importante en un projecto musical es el concepto y el mensaje que pretendes dar. Un grupo es como una puerta abierta a tus fantasias, temores, preocupaciones, ideología, etc, en otras palabras, es una herramienta para mostrar, a quien quiera verlo, tu mundo. Dicho esto a quien le importa que cara tienes??? Si el mensaje que quieres enviar depende de tu cara o tu estética corporal, mal vamos!!!!
Y, si, creo que hay demasiados grupos más interesados en la imagen de los miembros que las componen que en el contenido musical e ideológico de estos.
Y más ahora, que se mira estilos antiguos, como por ejemplo thrash 80’s, el momento social en el que apareció tenía un mensaje concreto y con una serie de gente comprometida a defenderlo a muerte (era un estilo nuevo y no muy bien visto, ni por la prensa especializada!!!!) y tenia una estética acorde con las posibilidades de los thrashers del momento.
Ahora, no es un estilo que atemorize, es totalmente previsible, tanto estética como musicalmente, y muchos grupos estan más pendientes de lo visual (posturitas, bambas de bota alta, frases más que manidas “hermanos del metal” o “siempre estáis ahí”, ser el más macho, etc) que del contenido de su mensaje.

¿Para cuándo un concierto de AKOLLONIZER? ¿Qué tienes en mente para ello? Estoy convencido de que sería una experiencia más que un simple festival de decibelios.
Pues cuando empezamos con el proyecto no teníamos pensado, para nada, esta posibilidad. Pero cuando llevas un tiempo trabajando los temas, inevitablemente piensas en ello. La cosa está que con el parón que hemos tenido todo esto desapareció y lo único que me importaba era mantener vivo el proyecto.
En estos momentos estamos trabajando en los temas nuevos y ha vuelto a aparecer esta posibilidad.
Lo primero será terminar con los nuevos temas y entrar a grabar.
Después de esto vendrá pensar en el directo, el cual no me gustaria que fueran cuatro tios en un escenario tocando. Como te he dicho más arriba, un grupo, para mi, es una puerta abierta al mundo interior de sus componentes, me gustaria que tuviera una puesta en escena adecuada a nuestro mensaje combinandolo con performance y visuales, pero siempre al servicio del mensaje; pero bueno, primero es lo primero, la grabación, y luego haremos segun nuestras posibilidades.

No eres muy amigo del myspace, ¿verdad? ¿Qué opinas de ese portal como modo de promoción? Según veo eres mucho más de tirar de blogs.
Lo del “miespacio” ha sido y es todo un fenómeno. No te voy a negar que es una herramienta estupenda para promocionar las bandas, hacer llegar la música a todos lados, etc. Pero no me encuentro cómodo, no me gusta sentirme perteneciente a un rebaño, me agobian las masas y más si todos van a una, no se si me explico. La cuestión es que el “miespacio” lo veo así.
Por otro lado ha acelerado las cosas, antes, para que un grupo se diera a conocer, había un curro bestial detrás (media docena de demos, mínimo, antes de sacar un 7”, conciertos, carteo, envio de demos,...) que solo estaban dispuestos a aguantarlo o hacerlo los que verdaderamente creían en su proyecto.
Con el “miespacio” y las nuevas tecnologías todo esto se ha acelerado y desde la creación de la banda hasta su primera grabación no pasa ni un año por lo que se ha llenado todo de mucha mierda o trabajos que aún les falta un montón de curro.
Pero bueno, es lo que hay, antes hacían la criba las discográficas y ahora lo hace el público directamente, eso si, la mayoria de las veces “dirigidos” por la moda o tendencia del momento como, ahora, es el caso del thrash metal a lo Tampa y Bay Area. Y mañana será otra cosa olvidándonos de lo que hay ahora.
Hace 15-20 años atrás llevaba mi camiseta de Barón y no fallaba nunca en sus conciertos en los que nos encontrábamos 200 personas como mucho (llegaron a tocar en la sala Vértigo de Castelldefels delante de 30 personas!!!) y cuando el chico grunge del momento te veía el comentario era del tipo Ah!! Aún están vivos? o Dónde vas con esta camiseta? Todo aderezado con risas, y esto lo podías aplicar a cualquier grupo heavy clásico. Ahora el grunge está muerto y las fusiones metal de la época no pasan su mejor momento pero el metal 80’s está en todos lados y es cool ir a un concierto de Barón con la camiseta correspondiente,, bah!!!!

Lo del blog es basicamente porque soy una nulidad en cuestiones informáticas y es la forma más fácil de tener una página web.
Por ahí he leido, refiriendose a mi postura respecto a esto que el blog es como un “miespacio” pero más engorroso de consultar (“complicando las cosas” era en concreto la frase) y tiene razón!! Pero me siento más comodo.

¿Hubo ritual con ingesta de ácido u hongos psicoactivos durante la composición de ‘La metamorfosi’? ¿Han jugado algún tipo de papel las drogas sean del tipo que sean? Desde luego, algo que me mola mogollón es el rollo mántrico ese claustrofóbico que lleváis y yo soy de aquellos que aún se preguntan qué coño tomaron KING CRIMSON al componer “Starless”.
Trabajando con Karkassa el mantricísmo y lo ritualístico es inevitable.
Lo que buscamos, y me repito, es mostrar y dar un mensaje directamente desde nuestra ideología o utopía, para esto necesitas un viaje interior que cada uno lo hace como mejor le parece o sabe.
Por mi parte fue un aislamiento del cemento urbano en la region de Dombes en Francia (esto está a 50 km de Lyon), concretamente en un pequeño pueblo de cuatro casas y rodeado de naturaleza, además, dio la casualidad que tuve una cosecha de cojones ese año y la fumada fue considerable. Jajajaja!!!!!

En la época de King Crimson la mayoría de bandas utilizaba todo lo que podía serles útil para evadirse de la realidad del momento, ya fuera drogas, alcohol o meditaciones mántricas diversas!! Hubo consecuencias positivas como la creación de grandes trabajos por parte de Zappa, ELP, King Crimson, Hendrix, Genesis, etc pero también consecuencias negativas con la muerte de una serie de personajes clave para la historia del rock.
Pero todo esto va por modas, también!!! En los 90’s no era extraño ver mega heavies declararse inspirados por Dios!!!
..
¿Qué hay de ese tema dedicado a Joaquín Luqui? ¿Llegará a ver la luz algún día? ¿A qué viene ese respeto absoluto por la figura del difunto locutor?
Para los que tenemos una edad es un personaje que nos marcó, esos pelos!!! Esa forma de presentar los grupos!!! (Ei, Ei Ei, tu y yo lo sabiiiiaaamosssss!!!!).
El tema nació medio en broma medio en serio, la cuestión es que, desde mi punto de vista, Joaquín Luqui era un hombre que en el fondo amaba el rock, sobre todo el que le tocó vivir por edad (Hendrix, Janis, Alvin Lee, Morrison, Cream, etc) i se notaba cuando alguna vez había hablado de ellos pero.... Siempre hay un pero, jejeje!!!!
En la época en que le toco vivir, en este pais, era muy dificil que esta música saliera en la radio comercial por lo que debio verse obligado a tirar más por lo comercial para poder currar en lo que le gustaba, locutor de radio.
Suponiendo que esta teoria fuera verdad el hombre se vendió a los 40 principales presentando verdaderas bazofias y con elementos como el inefable Fernandisco!!!
La canción viene a ser una crítica a esa actitud de dejar de lado lo que verdaderamene te gusta o en lo que crees para coger el camino fácil aunque lo odies.
A la vez, también, hay una crítica a ese endiosamiento que se hace de personajes públicos pre y post mortem, aunque el pobre Luqui no llegó ni a beato, jejejeje!!!

Lo de si verá la luz algún día, no sabría que decirte, era un tema que ensayaba con Karkassa y nunca grabamos nada por lo que tendríamos que juntarnos para ver si es posible recuperarlo pero tal como estan las cosas ahora es muy difícil encontrar un momento para vernos y ponernos con la labor.

¿Qué puedes decirnos de bandas del “círculo” como ENTROPIA o ZÉ PEKEÑO? ¿Dentro del panorama noise editado por Artilleria Pesada cuál de las recientes ediciones te llena más y por qué?
Son grandes bandas amigas con un trabajo detrás acojonante con un mensaje claro y con un compromiso, para este, muy fuerte.
A parte de una verdadera amistad nos une una misma ideología y una lucha por la reafirmación de la individualidad del ser y su liberación social
ENTROPIA ha terminado el proceso de composición de los temas para el nuevo álbum por lo que no tardarán en entrar a grabar.
ZE PEKEÑO se ha centrado en el directo estos últimos meses tanto en solitario (Porno Gore Garrí Extreme Fest, Gargall,...), como en, lo que ha venido a llamar, noise & poetry, lecturas de poesía con musica experimental como background.
O.D.I. está por editar Necronomicón I y II, insisto, al loro con este trabajo, para el que le guste lo mántrico y ritualístico puede dejar en ridículo a Onán!!!
Este trabajo saldrá a través del sello RONF Records de Canárias.
También son unos militantes incondicionales del anarkosatanísmo de base y con una fe incquebrantable en su trabajo de difusión del mensaje.

No hay ninguna edición que me llene más que otra, cuando las saco es porque realmente me gusta. Algo que no me llene no lo edito.

Akollonizer ha començat a treballar amb nous temes per la propera edició del que serà el seu segon treball i la seva estrena com a banda de directe abans de final d'any.

Orfismo zine #21

Este compartido es de largo la cosa más extraña que ha caido en mis manos en los últimos años, desde el “Cybergore”. En primer lugar ORQUESTACIONS DISSONANTS INTERNES (O.D.I.) en casi media hora, nos plantea, a base de teclados/sintetizadores/pianos, principalmente algo muy susurrante, muy envolvente, muy ritualístico… con unas eventuales voces recitadas que, por lo que forman, me han recordado a CHAOS CONDENSED. En fin, a esto lo llaman Ritual Drone y no voy a ser quien diga que no, eso si, perfecto para los domingos resacosos.
Lo de AKOLLONIZER es más complicado, retorcido y “pesado” que sus otros compañeros de viaje. Aquí son 37” basados en la “Metamorfosis” de KAFKA (ya podeis imaginaros la densidad de asunto). Al estar dividido en 6 partes, pues es variado, a su rollo, siempre dentro de la excentricidad absoluta. Con una base industrial esquizoide, se van sucediendo los distintos capitulos, ya sea una dosis salvaje de noisegrind metidas a machete con melodías más envolventes y pausadas, incluso hasta “sinfónicas”,… Realmente desconcertantes. A diferencia de O.D.I. que tienen ya bastante materialprevio, para estos AKOLLONIZER es su debut. El Cdr viene con una pegatina y la presentación es un estuche de plástico con doble portada y un inseto en cartulina que le da, aún más, ese toque “in drugs” que rodea toda esta edición.

Of the two tracks on this album this one might appeal even to ‘normal person’; someone whose focus lies on the modern chart music for instance. Compared with the Akollonizer’s performance, this one is surprisingly calm and without major disruptions of the atmosphere. Over twenty-eight minutes in length and loaded with a variety of different conceptual approaches it is one of those compositions to which it is easier to listen to than to write about; especially compared with the second part of this split.
Oh well, O.D.I.’s music can (partially?) be downloaded from the Internet Archive and when you listen to the tracks made available there, and compare it with Moon is Throll, then you will recognize some amount of resemblance.
Following this line of reason it would be possible to state that this one track seems like to be a re-arrangement of earlier works into some conceptually broader and more complex piece of art. Therefore, it is a bit challenging to follow O.D.I. over the whole length of the track, especially as no lyrics or any other kind of information, which could be used to shed some light on the band’s intentions as well as some hints on how to understand it, were provided. The hieroglyphic writings are beyond a possible deciphering, so they are of no use to me or anyone else.
Similar to the other band of this split, also (at least?) one member of the Spanish band Entropia is involved here, but in terms of the overall style no similarity can be found. Here, no grindcore
is offered, no aggressive and fast music. Rather the contrary is the case. Ambient meets drone with various additional influences would cover the basic setting. Several vocals can be found (male and female) and their style ranges from chanting over talking to whispering; some of
these even give the impression of having been played backwards while arranging the track. Together with the overall quite minimalist music, with a limited amount of layers and motives at a time, it has a touch of being ritualistic; especially when vocals appear.
Guitars, keyboards, sound samples (rain for instance) and keyboards were used in order to create the music here. Especially the first of these plays an important part in creating the ambience. They give some hints towards metal, in terms of heaviness and sound, but are played so slow that it is rather some following of chords than a ‘real’ collection of riffs; like it is common in the metal genre. Together with the samples a deep and very atmospheric scenery is created and the vocals support this to a good deal. There is no light, there is nothing cheering, there is only this extreme density with which this track starts and which never vanishes until the end is reached. I guess, would someone be able to understand Catalane – I suspect that this would be the language used here --, then this person might be able to appreciate the performance even more. Those who are unable to understand the chants and singings will be left at the door, while others take the full trip and enjoy the art.
Whether this is track good or bad is nothing you can answer easily and I also have no definite opinion on it. In case you want to give this band a try, simply search for their music at the Internet Archive and listen to some of the fragments, from the perspective that they have been re-arranged for this release, and form your own opinion. It is interesting but also quite intense art and it needs some time to be thoroughly appreciated.

When it comes to music and literature, then bands like to stick to some famous poets and take phrases from their oeuvre to enrich the compositions with some fancy citations; brave ones like Ulver even took the challenge to record an entire album based on a writing by Blake; those who want to hear a quite extravagant interpretation of another Blake novel, might want to give Alan Ginsberg's interpretation of 'Songs of Innocence' a try.
But … what is the conceptual background of Akollonizer's part?
Kafka. Or to be more precise: The Metamorphosis.
And to answer one question right away: No, the band did not took the writings and wrote the music around it. Rather, the story was extremely reduced but by keeping the overall intact. Judging from the translation of the texts, which I can call my own, something between an interpretation and staying true to Kafka’s work seems to have been the idea behind the lyrics. One example (the language is Catalan just to make things clear); first quote.

Here, the three characters, aside from Gregor Samsa, are presented: first the father (proud, but having been harassed), then the sister (with her dreams) and finally the mother (who suffers). Yet with the last line, his own misery is presented and it continues in the next paragraph; second quote.

He has the same longings, he has also suffered and been harassed, but his own misery is downplayed and has no effect on the behaviour of the rest of the family; they, his feelings, are silenced and kept back. In case someone is familiar with this novel as well as with the language, then this person might find the condensed version of the complex social construct quite interesting. Hopefully, those who have never ever touched works of this writer will become a bit
curious after having listened to this long track and might want to explore his novels or fragments; attempt to dig a little bit into the strange worlds which were created by Kafka in the early 20th century.
But what about the music? You can imagine that such an attempt requires at least some amount of variation and depth in order to get it right. So, a length of 37:28 is actually necessary to give each of the segments enough room.

a - El Despertar (The Awakening)
The opening is quite slow and it reflects the mood and atmosphere everyone faces after having just woken up. Also the clean vocals sound rather like it would be necessary to use a lot of energy to utter the words or in case of thinking them, to actually form the pictures and lines of reasoning. It takes a lot of self-discipline to get this done and the accordion fits so very well to the this mood. Calmness and peacefulness is created through it and the harshness of the every day’s existence is still kept outside, is not part of this world; still so far away, too far away to actually want to bother with it.
Then a transition: a trumpet plays a melody and like the fanfares which announce Armageddon, they also introduce the first harsh segment.

b - Traïdoria (Treachery)
Everything changes here and it is important to know the novel to thoroughly understand what is going on. Four additional voices can be heard in the background and they refer to person involved in this early setting of the story; I do not speak the language and the booklet gives no indication on what is going on, so I am unable to shed light on their facet in the art. Anyway, it is the point after having awoken and Gregor Samsa is challenged to go to work; especially as the chief clerk appears enters the family’s – and therefore also in his – home.
This is the setting and the interpretation of Akollonizer is a peculiar one. First a short glance at the lyrics; quote three.

From the first glance it should be obvious that two separate parts seem to exist and when you listen to the music. Moreover, those who are familiar with the music of the Spanish band Entropia, will recognize the vocals.
These appear in a duet, which shows some resemblance to the ones used on their debut album Takte Mòrbid. It is a mixture of pig squeals and some sort of growls/croaking; the former first, then the latter (just a thought: the former the ‘speaking’, the latter the ‘thoughts’ of him?). When you look at the lyrics, then you will recognize the inner conflict that takes place in Gregor Samsa, especially as he is challenged to leave the bed and to prepare for work. To his family his voice is nothing but a sound from an animal, therefore the change in the style is only appropriate because an outside person would recognize it as such. Interestingly, no discussion with his father for instance takes place, so Akollonizer used the characteristic stylistic elements in order to get the setting right, while staying not too true to the story here.
Ah, some words on the music. The aforementioned reference to the grindcore band Entropia is true in this respect as well. Fast, aggressive and with a lot of blasts might cover the facets of this segment of the song in a proper way. Especially towards the end some industrial influences in form of a background texture appear and work as transition to the next part.

c - Rebuig (Rejection)
The story continues this way: Gregor Samsa is being seen by the family as well as the chief clerk and they are disgusted by his appearance. He is rejected and forced to live in his room. You can easily imagine the reaction of him and the music expresses it in a neat way:

1; from an aggressive and quite fast style it switches towards some sludgy doomy one; slow played riffs and very minimalist drums (often nothing more than cymbals) make up the music here and create a somehow depressive atmosphere; quote four.

2; something which reflects his panic reaction towards the hatred shown by the family; some wild and chaotic as well as somehow aggressive or even brutal arrangement; this part is not far away from the grindcore genre again. Unlike the other vocals in this segment, these are more hastily and wild. You can feel how the sanity drifts of into some sort of psychosis and how Gregor is more and more unable to collect his thoughts and the understand the situation he is in; quote five.

He calms down later though and the atmosphere returns to the dark kind of rowling/murmuring with which the segment started.
And when you take a look at the lyrics, then the begging for acceptance becomes obvious. The vocals are quite accurate in expressing the right mood and tension. You can really feel how he wants them – the family -- not to reject him, still to love him, still let him be part of this household. The reference to the blood (sang) and that he had alway scared for them (Us vetllaré) emphasizes this further. The words are mostly expressed in a growling manner and you can feel how much energy it costs to express every phrase but also how difficult it is to understand anything of them; from the perspective of a neutral person.

d - Jo (I (note: not the number))
The transition between the segments would again be of the grindcore style used in Rebuig, but it progresses here intosome ritualistic/chanting like music and finally into an ambient influenced style. It is the silence before the storm,because after some minutes another blast of grindcore is unleashed and two different types of vocals (screams/growls) perform one paragraph after another; towards the end it becomes a bit more complex though.
This‘brutal’ music does not last for the entire length, but takes some sort of a break in the middle of the segment and is there replaced by some intense drone/ambient texture.
Unlike in the preceding part, here nothing of a fatalistic worldview is left anymore. The contrary is the case and Gregor screams out his willingness of live, how he has come at peace with his life and his new existence. He does not want to give up, he wants to continue his life; quote six

So, for the listener it is basically some sort of a rollercoaster trip. From depression over to an ecstatic feeling in a matter of minutes.

e - Oblit (Oblivion)
Pride goes before a fall and Gregor falls… he falls deep. Kafka’s stories have a strange kind of fatalism and deadly ending for the main protagonist and with this segment such is foreshadowed. The growls appear again, but in a quite peculiar fashion: one paragraph at a time and then a strange interlude; nearly up to the end this concept is kept up. You listen intensely but you feel the inability of the person to express himself over a longer period of time. You feel how he is getting weaker and weaker, needs his pauses and breaks and become unintelligible towards the end.
Moreover, it is also necessary to point to the outré opening of Oblit: some dancing theme, which reminds me on Arabic music… (or was it Yiddish?). It is ridiculous to hear and maybe it is a reference to the family and how they are improving and getting their things – finally – right, while Gregor is suffering and dying; the roles are reversed. This is expressed through this
fragment; quote seven.

Gregor has become more and more rejected and hated by the family.
Moreover, as his father had thrown an apple at him, he is also injured and now suffering pains from it. He is alone, forgotten, abandoned. The hopes he had just to start a new life, to escape this prison he is living in, were merely fancy dreams and had no actual basis in reality.

f - Mort (Death)
The end. The last track. The death of Gregor Samsa. You can feel it in the music. You can hear it every second. No requiem for the dying man, no cheers or praises to lighten the burden, only a dark and sinister final act in which he is has to express his feeling and torment one last time. The voice is quite low and more a growling than clear speaking and it is accompanied by minimalist keyboard motives as well as a drone texture in the background. It is up to them to set the stage and atmosphere for last words. Darkness dominates the music and in slow-motion the chords progress.
You can feel the last breathe, the final sigh and the moment the life passes out of the body; quote eight.

Of the cheerful atmosphere, with which the story concludes, no word is expressed. The focus here lay on Gregor and his suffering.

On how to perceive this kind of art:
Well, it is quite a task to deal with Kafka alone and it is not important which of his works are being read, discussed or interpreted. They all are anything but normal and written in a weird and difficult style; I can give this statement as I have read most of his works and lectures on him while still being in school. Less than forty minutes and a separation into six segments provide a good framework for such an attempt and these are also not the aspects I have to complain about. What strikes me as weird and strange is the limitation of the emotions, which were expressed over the entire length of the track. It is a bit limited and the facets of the characters appear a bit distorted, if you like. I mean, would you not be able to understand the lyrics (from reading) or have a translation at hand, then you might mistake the screams in Rebuig (Rejection) for something utterly different. It is a bit trying and challenging to see the connection between the music and the vocals and how these would fit together. Yes, the background of some of the members are the grindcore genre and the music of Akollonizer has a strong tendency in this direction, but I find the overall attempt a bit too shallow and the interpretation should have been put on a broader basis in order to reflect the character and the novel appropriately.
My impression would be that it is hard to relate any kind of emotion to one of the vocal styles; if you are unaware what is currently going on So, in order to really grasp what happens on Akollonizer’s part, you need time and energy (and maybe also a translation) in order to thoroughly understand what the band wanted to express. Nevertheless, one has to praise for their attempt to deal with such a difficult topic and I am somehow delighted to see (and hear) that someone was actually willing to deal with Kafka on a music album. So, to all those who have a fancy for experimental, aggressive and extreme music this release is recommended.
It would have been really neat to have the lyrics also in English, but apparently they were written in Catalane. In a language not many are familiar with. The band might have had their reasons, but it makes it difficult to enjoy and understand their art.

ARTILLERIA PESADA

Un òrgan d'ultratomba deixa pas a les campanes a morts i, sota la pluja, se'ns reciten uns versos acompanyats d'un piano. Poc a poc, s'introdueixen uns sons propers a l'orient que ens ajuden a meditar i, sota la fressa del soroll, disparen la ment cap als pensaments més profunds de l'ànima. Torna el piano amb una trista melodia mentre plou, i els versos (si no m'equivoco procedents de poemes de la Marian Ramèntol: "compraré un viaje de ida para el recuerdo"), martellejats per les campanes, segueixen suggerint-nos i esfereint alhora. A continuació, se'ns presenta la fressa que deu fer la immensitat de l'espai, i al mateix temps apareix una guitarra que, poc a poc, ens porta una melodia de desesperació. La conjunció de tots dos elements ens ajudaria a levitar. Gairebé silenci, fressa durant la qual recordem els anteriors sons; de cop, però, l'orgue inicial. Sota aquesta melodia lúgubre, se'ns reciten uns versos per part d'una dona que ens inquieten, en gran part per l'entonació i cadència dels versos, com un fosc ritual de paraules. Després, versos recitats al revés, soroll, la guitarra anterior per sota, tot plegat ens podria portar a la bogeria absoluta, sinó fos perquè aquí acaba el primer tema de ODI, fet per sentir, no per ser escoltat.

Sabia que l'harmònica podia sonar trista, però mai havia imaginat que pogués ser desoladora, malenconia, desesperançada. Així comença Akollonizer. Una veu deformada ens parla, el despertar d'en Gregor no ha estat gaire reconfortant. El tedi més profund fa entrada mentre parla, i de fons s'hi barregen veus i paraules que no comprèn (sembla japonès) ...

La ràbia apareix en forma d'alguna cosa semblant al grindcore-noise, en Gregor no suportava sentir allò que li deien: música a 1000 revolucions, crits, plors, pànic, soroll.

Un riff sludge comença a prendre forma, totalment dis-harmònic, fins que explota en una barreja de soroll i crits. Més fressa, altre cop sludge; un solo gens agradable, en Gregor crida, s'ofega. Finalment, les campanes a morts donen pas a una espècie d'alliberament expressats amb una sèrie de sons tranquil•litzador, però deformats de tal manera que es pressenteix que la por encara persisteix.

Quan havies aconseguit arribar a certa serenor, el grindcore noise fa art de presència, amb dos veus, una més forta, l'altra més desesperada. De cop, sintetitzadors que ens intranquil•litzen i ens confonen: cap a on anem? És un autèntic malson.

Retorna el grindcore amb les dues veus, la greu i la d'algú que sembla empetitit i crida tant com pot. Silenci, expectació, mentre ens envesteix una nota distorsionada de mil maneres.

Una flauta medieval semblava que ens acostava a un final feliç, però no fou possible, grindcore, soroll, que ens fan despertar amarats de suor.

Acaba, i la mort ens parla embolcallada amb tres notes d'òrgan, mentre algú s'acomiada. Les notes s'allarguen, la mort ens recita. FI

Split con básica presentación D.I.Y. en formato Cdr pero cuidada, de estas dos bandas catalanas. O.D.I. solo presenta un tema (de 28 minutos) de ambient ritual drone, dedicado a la montaña de Montserrat. Difícil digestión si lo tuyo es la caña. ¿Guitarras?... pues sólo para crear atmósferas, no esperes riffs, ni solos, ni cosas de esas. Ambiente puro y duro eso es O.D.I.
Los segundos, Akollonizer, pues con este nombre tan a lo Motorhead o Tank, es todo lo contrario. Ellos mismos dicen que van desde el ambiente más melancólico al cyber más alocado, pasando por el sludge. Y es que si el primer tema sigue la línea ambiental de O.D.I. luego si es verdad que le dan al sludge más cerdo, sucio y distorsionado. Sonidos que al menda se le han hecho muy difíciles de digerir, y no muy comunes en estas páginas metaleras, o sea, que antes de pillarte este Cdr ten en mente que es una música no apta para cualquier mente, la incluida en este compartido. Artilleria Pesada is a sub-label of Voliac R. Prods. From Andorra, this label is into such experimental noise, drone stuff. Well, here’s a split CD with two bands (or projects, I even don’t know...) musically both are in same way. The first band comes with some boring sounds, you know, some noise, which can’t be described fully over here since i’m not much into such music, just some bands are able turn my heart... Well, second band is much interesting than first! Because except of noises there are some guitar parts as well, he-he, all in all here are obscure sounds made by PC + using guitars which play in such slooooow, obscure sludge like way. 37 minutes of truly mad sounds waiting here for you.. I don’t know what to add, this stuff just for fans into noise/drone ritualistic sounds

Estamos ante un split poco convencional, primero porque aún siendo editado en cd-r el diseño está ciudado. Es sobrío, oscuro, macarra y manufacturado en blanco y negro, hecho a conciencia buscando un efecto concreto y muy acorde con la música que contiene. Segundo por las bandas que lo comparten. Dos bandas poco convencionales en su género y en sus objetivos. Nada de armonía y bellas sonoridades, estamos ante dos bandas diferenciadas pero que comparten un hilo conductor, el ruído.

En primer lugar y en un solo tema O.D.I. nos presenta un universo ambiental repleto de electrónica, ruídos, textos narrados y por supuesto grandes dosís de monotonía sonora. Drone Ritual basado en el mágico univeso de la montaña de Monserrat. Media hora de trance y misticismo. Música hipnótica muy visual. No en vano la banda realiza bandas sonoras para cortometrajes de corte experimental. Un acompañamiento a un mundo de esoterismo y magía, algo que nunca desentona para los amantes del Ambient con tintes dronianos. Música para minorías realizada con criterío.

En un segundo plato, tenemos un tema que contiene seis cortes en catalán de una cochina y sucia mezcla de Sludge, Drone, Ambient y diría que Cyberpunk o algo parecido. Con una temática centrada en ''La Metamórfosis'' de Kafka ,algo que ya dice mucho del espíritu de la banda, estos catalanes evocan con ruídos, gritos y guitarreos sostenidos su filosofía de vida, ''La vida es un cúmulo de experiencias que te reportan unos sentimientos que te hacen escoger un camino u otro'', toda una declaración de intenciones.

Amigos del ruído ,del Drone, de lo Industrial, de los ambientes caóticos... en este split y en ambas bandas tenéis dos proyectos interesantes para ayudaros a divagar a través de la comunicación sonora más básica: El Ruído.

Flesh Salad #8

Partiendo de la hoja promocional, estas dos bandas / proyectos catalanas practican un “Ritual drone” por un lado y un “Ambient-Cyber sludge” por el otro. Ante todo, me gustaría aclarar que no tengo ni idea de estos estilos aunque, para nada me ha desagradado su escucha. También dejar claro que esto no tiene nada que ver con el metal en prácticamente ninguna de sus infinitas variantes (excepto algún breve pasaje noise/grind). Esto es una locura experimental pausada, pero locura al fin y al cabo, de desproporcionadas dimensiones. Por un lado O.D.I. (Orquestracions Dissonants Internes) dueto con extensa discografía a sus espaldas que se embarcan es este “Moon is Throll” con um tema conceptual de aproximadamente media hora que gira alrededor del misticismo de la “muntanya de Montserrat”. Sonidos tétricos, susurrantes, desesperantes, asfixiantes,… ideales para escuchar en la penumbra de una cueva o para banda sonora de una película experimental. Ecléctico a más no poder.

Por otro lado , Akollonizer, que juega en su debut con una extensa amalgama de sonidos que van desde los pasajes de ultra-doom-agónicos, a interludios totalmente ambient-atmosféricos, o a sacudirte en la boca furiosamente por trallazos semi grind-noise. El concepto del tema de 37 minutos de duración gira en torno a la obra de Kafka “La Metamorfosis” (“La Transformació” en catalán). Toda una experiencia sonora psicotrópica. A Dalí no le hubiera desagradado este compartido.

Tras eones esperando la primera edición de AKOLLONIZER, por fin sale su primer tema como compartido, del ya prolífico proyecto de drone ritualístico, O.D.I. (Orquestracions dissonants internes). Tema de 37 minutos y medio (dividido, eso sí, en seis partes “Despertar”, “Traïdoria”, “Rebuig”, “Jo”, “Oblit” y “ Mort”). Ambas partes des split llevan temática conceptual. En el caso de los primeros, O.D.I, tenemos otro corte de casi media hora sobre leyendas y misterios de las montañas de MONTSERRAT (Catalunya). Así pues, sirve para que Nayram pueda dar rienda suelta a sus inuietudes poéticas com música experimental de fondo, transmitiendo la sencasión de estar viendo algún tipo de peli bergmaniana de las que tanto nos gusta reseñar por aquí. Personalmente me quedo con la bizarrada psicótica y delirante que supone la parte de AKOLLONIZER, que ya había creado expectación hace años. En ella se adapta la célebre “Metamorfosis” de Kafka en un ladrillazo sónico impenetrable y denso como pocos que alterna secciones de órgano y sintetizador, cybergrind y acojonantes partes de sludge , sin olvidar gritos agónicos para realzar esa sensación de mal rollo. Impecable presentación por parte de Artilleria Pesada, seguramente uno de los sellos más entregados al ruidísmo exacerbado aquí en España

Parlar d'AKOLLONIZER, és parlar d'un erràtic viatge per Europa, vivint al carrer i dormint en betzineres i arees de servei. Un home, intenta reconstruir tendéncies emotives amb tot un reguitzell de panoràmes sónics. Mig en broma, mig de conya, AKOLLONIZER neix com una aposta per els sons més extrems i la temàtica melangiosa i rabiuda. És també un intent de plasmar emocions, salvatges i descontrolades. Atmósferes radicalment enfrontades. TechGrind?, Sludge?, Noise?, potser de tot una mica o potser res en concret. Un altre mestre de l'escola "emosoroll". El primer repte que afronta AKOLLONIZER, és un treball conceptual basat en "La Metamorfosi" de F. Kafka, on rep el suport amb les bases d'O.D.I.
AKOLLONIZER és doncs un projecte molt personal, on el seu artifex, expresa amb tota llibertat, aquells sentiments més amagats en tots nosaltres. Soroll extrem i emocions.

Al llarg de la història del pensament humà s'ha intentat definir o explicar que és la vida, en definitiva, l'existència humana. Uns han decidit fonamentar el seu discurs en qüestions temporals (suma d'instants, dimensions espai-temporals ...) les quals estan estretament unides amb qüestions de moviment (no ens banyem mai en un mateix riu, teoria del no moviment, ...) i les que, potser, han estat més acceptades i desenvolupades, les relacionades amb qüestions divines (sic) que van des de les teories d'immobilitat tipus Parmènides (El món on vivim i tot el que coneixem és producte del somni d'un ésser etern i infinit, per tant, nosaltres i la nostra vida és un somni diví) fins a les teories platòniques que han fonamentat els pilars del cristianisme (Tingues una vida dura per guanyar una fabulosa vida eterna). Des d'AKOLLONIZER, proposem un altre punt de vista: La vida és un cúmul d'experiències que et reporten uns sentiments que et fan escollir un camí o un altre; bàsicament, som un disc dur que s'ha d'omplir amb informació recollida al llarg del nostre periple vital. Amb quin objectiu?? Diví?? Potser per a reencarnar-nos en un ésser millor?? Per a trobar-nos quelcom etern i infinit?? Simplement per a facilitar-nos el viatge existencial al llarg del nostre cicle vital. Aquest és l'únic punt important per a AKOLLONIZER, els sentiments o feelings com a creadors de vida. Per aquesta raó ha nascut aquest projecte el qual pretén donar cos, en aquest cas cos sónic (si em permet l'expressió) a tots aquests sentiments (Ràbia, alegria, rauxa, depressió, indiferència, por,....) en les seves vessants més extremes. Bàsicament som una gent que ens estimem la vida i la volem gaudir tal com ve, sense cap tipus de lligam religiós o filosòfic social, simplement, tal com és. Aquesta és la línia intelectual d'AKOLLONIZER i us la intentem mostrar mitjançant la base més primitiva de la comunicació: EL SOROLL.

A lo largo de la historia del pensamiento humano se ha intentado definir o explicar que es la vida, en definitiva, la existencia humana. Unos han decidido basar su discurso en cuestiones temporales (suma de instantes, dimensiones espacio temporales, ...) las cuales están estrechamente unidas con cuestiones de movimiento (nunca nos bañamos en el mismo río, teoría del no movimiento,...) y las que han estado más aceptadas y desarrolladas, las relacionadas con cuestiones divinas (sic) que van desde las teorías inmovilistas tipo Parménides (El mundo donde vivimos y todo lo que conocemos es producto del sueño de un ser eterno e infinito, por tanto, nosotros y nuestra vida es un sueño divino) hasta las teorías platónicas que han fundamentado los pilares del cristianismo (Obtén una vida dura para ganar una fabulosa vida eterna) Des de AKOLLONIZER, proponemos otro punto de vista: La vida es un cúmulo de experiencias que te reportan unos sentimientos que te hacen escoger un camino u otro; básicamente, somos un disco duro que se ha de llenar de información recogida a lo largo de nuestro periplo vital. ¿Con qué objetivo? ¿Divino? ¿Para reencarnarnos en un ser mejor? ¿Para encontrarnos con algo eternos e infinito? ... simplemente, para facilitarnos el viaje existencial a lo largo de nuestro ciclo vital. Este es el único punto importante para AKOLLONIZER, los sentimientos o feelings como creadores de vida. Por esta razón ha nacido este proyecto el cual pretende dar cuerpo, en este caso cuerpo sónico (si se me permite la expresión) a todos estos sentimientos (Rabia, alegría, ira, depresión,...) en sus vertientes más extremas. Básicamente somos una gente que amamos la vida y la queremos disfrutar tal como viene, sin ningún tipo de atadura religiosa o filosófico social, simplemente tal como es. Esta es la línea intelectual de AKOLLONIZER y os la intentamos mostrar a través de la base más primitiva de comunicación: EL RUIDO

En Metal4All no estamos muy acostumbrados a recibir discos como este Split, ni por sonidos ni por presentación, pero eso no quiere decir que no les prestemos un mínimo de atención y que se le deba dar un mínimo de promoción por nuestra parte. En primer lugar vamos a comentar la presentación: es un trabajado en CD-r, tanto para los que estéis acostumbrados a pillar estas ediciones como para los que no, hay que decir que esta muy cuidada. El CD viene bien serigrafiado, viene acompañado de un libreto que cuenta con las dos portadas de ambas bandas y pese a venir en una doble fundita de plástico, se incluye un desplegable con las letras de los temas, formaciones de las bandas y diversos contactos. Lo segundo los sonidos: la primera banda en aparecer son el dúo O.D.I (Orquestracions Disonants Internes) con un solo tema de cerca de media hora, un "Moon Is Throll" dedicado al misticismo de una de las montañas con más misterio y leyendas de Cataluña: Montserrat. Una oda extensa, con pasajes hipnóticos de lo que ellos denominan Ritual Drone. Actualmente O.D.I. trabaja realizando bandas sonoras para cortometrajes y cine experimental. Algo que les viene como anillo al dedo, ya que el tema "Moon Is Throll" es perfecto para escucharlo con imágenes, es evocador y atmosférico a partes iguales. "Moon Is Throll" tiene más de Ambient que Drone y, por tanto, hay pocas guitarras sostenidas. La segunda banda en aparecer son Akollonizer con otra sola pista pero que contiene seis canciones unidas entre ellas con la temática conceptual de "La Metamorfosis" del conocido escritor Kafka, pero con textos en catalán, lo que dificulta a los que no entendemos esa lengua seguir los textos. Comienza la cosa donde los ambientales sonidos de O.D.I acabaron, pero luego hay temas cabrones de Sludge/Drone a dobles voces, grave y gorrinillo, que descolocan bastante. "La transformació" es más de media hora extraña, variada y tampoco apta para maniacos de los riff´s y la caña por la caña. Es verdad que este tipo de propuestas musicales son muy minoritarias, por eso son editadas por Sellos muy pequeños como Artilleria Pesada Records (Subsello de Voliac Rock Produccions), y cuentan con ediciones muy limitadas. Si crees que te puede interesar alguna banda lo mejor es pasarte por la Web de O.D.I donde hay varios trabajos para descargar (este en concreto no) o por el espacio de Akollonizer, les das una escucha y si te interesa ya sabes donde contactar para hacerte con una copia del Split. No te fíes de la nota que le he puesto porque reconozco que con estos estilos yo estoy muy perdido, no es una música nada convencional.

Per fi, després d'un llarg periode d'espera i anuncis frustrats, podem cridar als quatre vents que el primer treball d'AKOLLONIZER està al carrer.
